make up, scar serum, lotion with vitamin e (or take those vitamin e pills and pop them and just use the stuff inside). make up is short term, quick effect (if its effective) but the serums and lotions and what not should heal them completely (again... if its effective)

neither have worked for me, but mine are really deep and noticeable....
it depends on your scars.

There's a product called Mederma which works really well at fading scars. It takes a little while to notice the effects, but you just rub it on once or twice a day and it takes care of things. Nothing will completely remove the scars (except maybe laser treatment), but the Mederma will fade them. It works best on newer scars, but even old scars aren't hopeless. if your scars are raised or they look sort of like dents in the skin (it's more rare I think, I but I know I do have a scar on my forehead that actually looks like a dent), then get some lotion with Vitamin E in it (such as Palmer's cocoa butter, which is actually intended for stretch marks), which will help to smooth out the skin. You should be able to get these products at your local drug store or grocery store.

Remember though, that you are who you are, and the right girl will like you just for that. My boyfriend has had issues with self-harm (and still does sometimes), and his arms and stomach are covered in scars, but I don't even really see them anymore because to me he's not some guy with scars, he's my best friend and my boyfriend, and that's why I love him. The time will come for either this girlfriend or a future girlfriend to notice your scars, and you'll have to explain them. Hopefully she'll be understanding and realize how hard it is for you to tell her the truth. If she doesn't, it'll be hard, but remember that anyone who looks at you differently for past self-harm isn't worth the time.

And, though I'm sure you realize this: the best way to get rid of scar problems is to stop creating them. You talk like you still cut, but remember that you can stop at any time you want to.

Ah, another person destined to get skin cancer? It does seem to have its upsides, those of us preparing for it really know how to take care of our skin.

I hope not, I figured being 100% Native American would help me but thats just not true.

Well the easiest way would be to wear clothing that covers your scars.

Make-up is a good choice but pretty soon it gets competitive.

If you are really worked up about it, get some Neosporin from a drug store. Clears up in a couple of days.
