Okay, well first I can't even remember the last time I made a thread in here:P

And my question is why is it that its usually moist on the head of uncut guys penises?

What is that liquid?

Why does it occur there?

Lol, its always interesting to see a mod make a thread under p101 :D

"The fold of the prepuce maintains sub-preputial wetness, which mixes with exfoliated skin to form smegma." "In healthy animals, smegma helps clean and lubricate the genitals."

I'm guessing that is it. I'm not totally sure though :)

Smegma was the white stuff. htis is usually clear.

It's not smegma. Smegma is a collection of dead skin and oils. It probably has something to do with how skin exfoliates, but most men (or at least around half) don't produce it.

The rest is right. The glans is moist because the inner lining of the foreskin is a mucosal surface. Basically, a mucosal surface secretes small amounts of water, salts and something called mucin, which is made of glycoproteins (what those are doesn't matter :P).

The mucosal surface keeps the foreskin and glans hydrated and lubricated. There's not much of it, so unlike lube-lube, it just makes the skin and area hydrated and moist instead of making it wet. You can't really feel when it's there or anything; it's just hydrated.

you mean a thead, and it is, and everybody has questions! :D

and Dolphus answered the question superbly...damn...how did he know that...well anyway there you have it!

Now it isn't wet or anything, it's just hydrated like Dolphus said. When you precum though, it may collect a little bit more on the penis in uncut guys than in cut guys

It stays hydrated to keep the skin healthy and to keep the sensitivity, which some sensitivity is lost through circumcision. That's because without the foreskin to protect the penis head, the skin has to become a little tougher and a little less sensitive to rubbing from fabric and stuff, because uncut guy's penises are a lot more sensitive, sometimes (but not always) to the point of pain when it's uncovered and touched. So the skin gets a little less sensitive so the person doesn't feel pain because it's not directly protected.

Uncut guys can get rid of the pain by just masturbating and getting the penis used to being uncovered and exposed.
Don't worry little guy, there's nothing to be afraid of! lol ok that was a little weird but whatever...

First, I think the easiest way to understand what that 'moisture' is is to rmember that the foreskin covers the penis, and like any covering, it minimizes evaporation. So, the moisture there (either from sweat or the natural moisture in the skin itself) has no where to go. If you've ever looked at the skin that's been covered for any length of time bu a band aid, you'll get a similiar idea.

Second, this notion that cut guys lose sensitivity because there's less moisture is controversial and cannot be verified by at least this person who has experienced both.

That's essentially what any skin surface does, but a mucosal surface also has mucin and things not found in normal sweat. It serves a functional purpose beyond sweat...otherwise it would just be a regular skin surface. But otherwise you have the right idea.

yes, however an inference on the comparing of cut and uncut guys, where uncut guys say that their penis, while flaccid, is very sensitive to touch, almost to the point of pain, while we haven't heard any complaints from cut guys and it wouldn't make sense, because their penis heads are constantly touched by the fabric of their pants and skin of their legs.

From this we can say that the cut penis is different from the uncut penis.
Now you may not have been that attentive of your penis before you got circumcised, or you didn't care and just thought of it as a procedure. The explination for your circumstance remains a mystery. But there is obviously a difference, whether positive or negative or simultaineously both.
