Ok read this story the other day and have been thinking about it and it has really annoyed me. It has annoyed me how people have attacked her over what she said. I see nothing wrong with what she said. She made a comment that was in no way offencive.
"We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California,"
Seriously are the Kennedy family so sacred one can not mention them? Mr. Bush I believe recently in a speech talked about Hitler. Did anyone care? Of course not. But mention a Kennedy and the claws come out.

I agree with you Alex, that she did not intend for it to be interpreted the way it was, but still, anything you say, especially in a presidential campaign, can lead to people reading way into what you said, even when that's not what you wanted them to do. At this point you have to watch what you say, you have to look at what you're going to say and see how certain people may react to it. In my opinion it wasn't stupid on her part, but if she does something like that again, even if it be unintentional, it could really cost her...

Payback is a bitch. The culprit herself has done her fair share of taking words out of context and exploiting them for her own political gain. She had herself a field day bombarding Senator Obama over his comment that voters were bitter. The ball is simply in her court now and people are simply using the same tactics against her.
She's no victim. Just caught up in the same political bullshit that makes headlines when it doesn't even matter, that she herself is guilty of taking part of. It'll be forgotten quickly and people will move on to something else.

This really pissed off my parents, which kind of surprised me because they're not easily offended. Maybe it's a generational thing. They already didn't like Clinton but my dad even said he wouldn't vote for her because of this.
I think it's the sort of slip-up that happens when you're tired. Besides, she's totally wrong. The nomination was pretty much over by this point in 1992. Even if it weren't, her dropping out of the race wouldn't affect her chances much if Obama was felled by an accident or assassination.
But it doesn't really offend me.

It's stuff like this that pisses me off, because people take things to seriously the only people that were offended were the ones that never supported her. It's like they were waiting for her to slip up and say something. I'll easily vote for Obama if Clinton doesn't get the nomination but idiots like them are so against her that they aren't looking at what really matters in these elections THE ISSUES!!!!!! I wish people would open there eyes and stop worrying about these bullshit comments.
