The Batman

This is a story that I heard before but while browsing the videos of youtube I found it. This video is suppose to teach us what could happen when you don't listen to your parent's warnings and lie to them. Have tissues ready even I cried.

Yeah, that is a sad story, but it sounds too coincidental to be real...

Seems like a Chicken Soup Story.
This is a very sad story. But the girl should know that this guy is intoxicated and high on something and she should have known better to ride with him.
She should have just listened to her parents in the first place.

even if it is fake, it's still a good example of why we shouldn't lie

2:30- "he just got faster as they neared the the town" Proof the story isnt real. It was proven on Snopes.com as fake. It teaches a good lesson but so does this "Jenny did not go to the party and they all lived happily ever after."

Who cares? A fake story can tell any moral. I can tell a story about a kid who ignored his religion and masturbated and got an STD and dies. Yes, its obviously fake, but it teaches people not to masturbate because some religions dont accept masturbation. So really, my story is similar to yours, its fake and helps teach a moral to people. Does it make it true??....Ill let you answer that.

Why do you want to argue it? If you didn't like it then why did you watch the video or even view the thread, and that so called "story" you posted what does that have to do with anything, this video has nothing to do with religion it deals with being untruthful to your parents, getting in the car with someone who was intoxicated and high on drugs, and it more importantly it deals with the decisions we make in life and how they can have a bigger affect than we think, and if you don't like it to bad but don't try and ruin it for everyone else.

It teaches a good lesson but so does this "Jenny did not go to the party and they all lived happily ever after."
I disagree.
"Jenny did not go to the party and they all lived happily ever after" doesnt "teach" the same lesson. It lacks impact.
Sometimes the best lessons that are learned are the hardest ones.
I think the video is really thought provoking. Whether its fake or its real, it highlights some important lessons. :-)

Well, I dont want to "ruin" it for anybody, but I feel "True story" is actually stretching the truth. Yes, the story is supposed to teach people to make good descisions, and while I agree that people must be aware that parents usually make wise desicions to protect their children, I just felt that people shouldnt always believe stories on the internet that are "true". Giving false information to lead others to try to teach moral values, can sometimes be used wrongly, especially with people today. Some people spread stories that can harm others, and I dont want anybody to believe everything they hear. Im sorry if you think Im trying to bash any life lessons here, I just wanted my voice to be heard, and if you think thats wrong, I dont know what to tell you.

You have a right to your opinion and also a right to voice it but it's just the way you were coming off was kinda arrogant and it seemed like you were just bashing the thread entirely but thanks for clearing it up and now I understand what you were saying.
