When ever I go swimming, when you are in the water your scrotum hurts. IDK why but it does and there isnt really anything to do about it except massage it out I guess.

i think this is the reason why. ive never used or even seen/heard of bathing suits with zippers on them, ive always used the ones w/ the netting

Use netting ones. It will be better. If you have hair it may have gotten caught or a number of other things.

Ah I know which ones your talking about. I got some from American Eagle too that don't have the netting.
As for the problem, I think it might just be because its your ball maybe rubbing against it? Or hitting against it like bubukitty said.

i personaly don't like the netting at all
it chafes(?) my legs
i would suggest getting a new pair with linning
or a pair with velcro instead of a zipper

i dont think you gave the best answere...thats up to the person who posted this anyways, and how you think we are off topic i have no idea.
if u arent wearing the boxers inder the new shorts like you did b4 then i suggest you wear boxers under these ones it will prevent the zipper from causing any issue.

it is proabably ur balls hitting the zipper, make sure that they dont get caught in them!!
that hurts.
