Whats the diff between a frozen account and a banned account?

But can't you unban an account just as easily as un freeze it?

Actually technically regular mods can ban. They just are able to do it only through the infraction system. Global mods can ban as well as admins.

Now to be frozen, you have to be infracted into it on this site. So if you get 75 infraction points you are automatically frozen until that number gets back under that amount. When you are frozen you are just banned. You can't post etc. but it will only last for a temporary amount of time. So it is the same restrictions as a ban but the only difference is that you have to be infracted in it and you only have a certain amount of time until you are unfrozen.

As for bans, you can be banned by regular mods. It takes 100 points to get banned. Anyways, to get banned by a regular mod they have to issue the overage infraction. Then you are banned. Otherwise a regular mod can't ban you unless you recieve an infraction that puts you at 100 points. You can be banned manually by an admin or mod. Usually you have to do something really bad such as spamming, multiple accounts, etc. Then you can't post visit the forums etc.

That's not completely correct. Frozen members do not have the same restrictions as banned ones. Frozen members can still browse the forums while logged in but not post, while banned members while logged in can't see anything.

Well, can GMods place members manually into the Frozen usergroup. I do know an admin can. Idk about GMods. But we usually never freeze manually right?

Being frozen and referrals have nothing to do with other.

Referrals are the amount of people that you refer to the site. When you register theres a box where you can enter a user name of someone that referred you and told you about the site.

Oh I have two of those!
and you guys cant forget that we are regular members too. all of us were before we were promoted. I would say about about maybe a quarter of the staff has gotten at least warned at least once...I hope...:P
but if you will become a staff member then you will at least be able to snoop around for like the first 2 days. but you will never be able to tell a soul:(
