Here's a little advice... don't try them at all. All drugs do is give a a high chance of hurting yourself or addiction. It isn't worth it. Find something else to do, like a hobby.

As Mzor said, don't try drugs at all. Drugs can only hurt you. In summary, Just don't try them.

shrooms are probably one of the safest drugs to take. If your going to do it for your first time dont eat more then 3.5 gs and do it with people you know well and trust. Shrooms can be an awesome experience, Ive had enlightening moments which made me so happy that i have tried them a few times. It really just makes you feel good about life in the right setting. You have no ego while your on shrooms, which helps you learn and grow as a person.

Yes well theres allot that happens while the brains trying to recover from trauma
Electroshock therapy damages whole sections of your brain, while its healing it gives you a high feeling that lasts weeks
shrooms work off a similar method just doesn't last as long
your brain stem bleeds
The more times you take them
the more you have to take because your body desperately tries to develop a defense

Magic mushrooms causes hallucinations because they contain chemicals called psilocin and psilocybin. These chemicals are similar in structure and effect to LSD although a lot less potent. These chemicals are also similar in structure to a chemical found in the brain (a neurotransmitter) called serotonin and it is thought that the chemicals in the mushrooms affect the serotonin-system in the brain.
It is not known exactly how the mushrooms work but serotonin is one of the chemicals in the brain that help to regulate mood and if the psilocin is working on the serotonin system in the brain then you may get rapid mood swings, delusions altered perception and visual hallucinations.

I can't believe that this is encouraging people to try this.
I am so glad I'm drug and almost alcohol free. Thank you Jesus! :)

It makes me really pissed off that shrooms have a bad rep. The most spiritual and peaceful time of my entire life was the first time i did shrooms. It really helped me.

Thats your opinion and perspective. I just think that it has a bad reputation because it has bad health problems.

I wouldn't go to the length of it being safer than an "over the counter" medicine.

Doesn't matter what the government says I rather have something that has been tested and controlled by highly trained medical professionals than something someone grew illegally in their garden.

Shrooms actually contain a substance (psilocybin) that is rated less toxic than Aspirin by the Center for Disease Control.
I actually tried shrooms and had a good time, although I am NOT encouraging it.
The physical effects I had were loss of appetite, nausea, pupil dilation and felt weak.
All my sense felt heightened while I was on shrooms.
I kept seeing objects morph.
I felt relaxed and amazed
Sometimes magic mushrooms are often mistaken by wild mushrooms which are very poisonous.
3 to 5 grams is considered a heavy dose, with 3 or 3.5 grams you can experience a solid trip of 5-7 hours.
This is what I found on wiki.
Possible risks
Psilocybin mushrooms are non-toxic and non-addictive although they do create short term increases in tolerance of users. Oral ingestion can produce nausea, dizziness, and sometimes vomiting. The greatest danger from recreational use is a "bad trip" which can cause severe emotional and psychological distress. Also, extremely poisonous wild picked mushrooms can be easily mistaken for psilocybin mushrooms. Mushrooms should be identified by a professional mycologist if ingestion is deemed appropriate.

I was only speaking in my opinion cause I don't care what others do as long as it doesn't affect me.

I was only speaking in my opinion cause I don't care what others do as long as it doesn't affect me. fair enough, and i do see why you may not personally be interested in using said substance, i just think that some laws dont serve a huge purpose, Shrooms being illegal is one of those laws. I definatly agree with deadly addictive drugs which are usually distributed by dangerous people being illegal, but its just on a totally different level.

The reason why I don't do drugs is because getting high is not for me I like to be able to think well 24/7 I don't want my thoughts to be changed because of a drug or anything, but I completely understand why others need to do drugs, sometimes people need that escape from reality especially when life at home might not be that good.

I understand that you like your life. Using a drug like shrooms does not really indicate a troubled life. many people find it refreshing to have a changed perspective for a few hours. When done safely and infrequently i dont see it as a big deal, but of course everyone has their right to not be interested at all in any sort of things like that, and thats fine.

This is just promoting drugs is it not? umm no. What would be the point of a drug forum if it was just filled with uninformed people who have never used drugs just saying that all drugs are bad and to never do them? Im simply stating my personal opinion on shrooms, and i think im entitled to that.

No, promoting drugs would be like:
"You should totally smoke crack, it'd be a good idea"
People will do what they do, but it is up to us to make sure we don't give them any influence towards using illegal substances.
