hello Gov?

Hey guys.

I want to ask a question.

What relation is this site to Govteen(virtualkid for the really old people)? I am 22 now and have been going to govteen since i was 14. I remember there was a lot of conflicts on the old boards, and i have a very VAGUE memory that this group went off and started their own forums. Have i found those forums?

This is blowing my mind - you use the same faces for postcounts!

This isn't spam, i really HAVE to know whats going on here.

This is an affiliate to govteen and we're both on the govteen network. http://www.govteen.org has a list containing this and other sites also on the network. As for the origins I'm not sure.

Hey welcome to VT!
VirtualTeen.org was created by a member of GovTeen (you may have known him as TheWitch2, now TheWizard) as a GovProject in 2004. The site was taken under management by TheWizard (Josh) and Triple7 (Francis, a former puberty moderator on GovTeen).

Josh wanted to create a site that was teens helping teens with other mental problems, because he has Schizophrenia. Even though Josh has now left both sites, VirtualTeen.org has been the second most successful GovProject under the GovTeen.org network, second to GovTeen.com itself, and has grown out from its previous mission to a full community, still encompassing help, advice, and education.
Because VT is under the same network as GT, it uses the same set of Post Count Faces.

I don't know of any disputes that resulted in the creation of this site, but whatever the case, we're here!

The 10,000+ face was created by a GovTeen member, and I think it was used sometime in Gov's history...I don't know about our 5,000+ face

We do allow custom faces on this site. All you have to do is get the 5,000 posts, and get a custom face.

Yeah, with phpBB, it was really simple using custom postcount images. Since we moved to vBulletin (I believe over 2 years ago), we've had a few complications. It can be done, yes, but it seems that there's always other things to do. In fact, I still need to get the styles straight.

It sounds like you're talking about vTeen. Are you talking about people like Nate and Erick? Their site is still up and running, but I'm not sure if they're still active on it. If you remember anything else, you might get a better answer at GovTeen's Old Timers' Forum (http://forums.govteen.com/forumdisplay.php?f=125).

This site (VirtualTeen.org, aka VT) is relatively new, compared to GovTeen and vTeen. VT started in 2004, but not as a break from the older VirtualKid/early GovTeen group.
