Today have been an absolutely terrible day for me. I got into a fight because this jerk gave me a racist remark. To be honest, I've never been in a serious fight before. I never liked solving things in a violent way but this guy just took me to a whole new level of anger. Anyways, our fight drew quite a crowd and finally the principle and the school cop came to stop it. I told the principle that the fight was aggravated and I really didn't have a choice. The principle said I need to see him tomorrow. The school cop then asked my name, where I lived and my phone number. I want to know how you guys felt when you read this and what do you think the consequences will be.

Maybe dention for you and the kid. I'm not sure. It's the principle's choice. I would say that he was saying racist remarks towards you and that you had every right to defend yourself.

You need to tell your folks and have them there with you, esp. if there's a cop involved. As a minor, you shouldn't be talking at all about this in the presence of a police officer without your parents there.

It's important to note that although violence isn't acceptable, you were provoked by a remark that was aggressive and menacing (as racist remarks are). Therefore, although hitting him in response to 'words' is technically wrong, there were extenuating circumstances, which means that he was more wrong than you. This is especially true if you never had any incidents like this, and you're generally a good student/citizen at school. Be sure to mention all this.

But make sure your folks are present.

Regardless of how angry he made you feel with a racist remark bro, the main thing you have to learn is self control.

I'm the same, I dont like solving anything in a violent manner, it doesnt resolve anything, and both parties get in trouble.

Its easy to say from my point of view, or even in hindsight, but the best thing is to just ignore him, or just say "yeah good one mate" sarcastically. The punishments dished out from a fight are never fair towards you, no matter if you were the provoker or the retaliator.

I'd say the worst that can happen is a 2 or 3 day suspension, but more likely is just a detention, depending on the strictness of your school.

at school some kids fought and 1 got a suspension and 1( the one who started the fight) got expelled. At home It may be, being grounded or soemthing that your parents come up with.

Life is too short to waist it on persons who doesn't even deserve any of your feelings.
Always just to go on.

i hope everything got fine with these things :)

I doubt you'll get in that much trouble if you've never had a fight before, maybe a few detentions/suspension?
I'd be more worried about what my parents would do TBH.

A few things to help:
1. It'll probably help and make you pissed to restate what he said.
2. Him throwing the first punch always helps, but it'll work against you if it was you
3. Try to get your parents to understand, that's one of the best things you can do
