During puberty you gain muscle and your metabolism starts to develop more but the only way you'll really lose that belly is to exercise and eat healthy.

Usually you either gain weight to loose it, I am like you, just remember to eat right and exercise regularly.

No you need to watch what you eat the only way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you are taking in.

Maybe you aren't watching the way you eat, and right now your metabolism is a bit slow.
You should keep running track (don't stop just because it isn't working, running in my opinion is the second healthiest activity you can do next to swimming and among other things) and keep lifting. Maybe ask your coach or a trainer if you're doing everything right and ask what you can improve on.

Have you ever heard of a term called "puppy fat" - its a loose headed term used to describe the small amount of fat that can be accumulated prior to entering adolescence.

This sounds to me like what is happening to you - through puberty I can always remember myself as a very small child, very skinny, now Im 189 cm tall and I weigh about 75kg (6ft 3, 150 lbs). It all depends on your body's speed through puberty, metabolistic rates, and genes.

But what you are going through is perfectly normal, especially if you are yet to begin puberty or are in its early stages.

If you look after yourself it will most likely go away - it will most likely go away anyways, but maintaining a healthy active lifestyle will also tone up your body for when puberty is completed, making muscle tone and mass easier to accumulate.

Hope this helped a little ;D

Don't worry about it our bodies go through all types of changes. If you are worried about losing weight just contiune to work out but don't quit eating your body needs nutrition to keep developing.

generally, before you start puberty, your body stores fat reserves all around, preparing for the spontanious growth spurts that'll soon happen. i was a fat kid before my growth. err.. probably.. 140 lbs 5'1''. now, i'm 5'11'' 140 lbs.. but see, the thing is, when i weighed 140 lbs before puberty, i was all fat. now it's all muscle bulk.

imagine an hour glass. you know how the bottom is really big, the middle is thin, and the top is really big? imagine that being a "puberty time line". at the bottom, you're just a kid.. really fat. while you're going through puberty, you start to thin out, almost skeleton like. then once you reach the top, you're big again, but it all isn't fat.

'man boobs' do go away, thankfully. They're caused by hormones, and eventually they even out, and with them, the boobs go, too. Phew!

The weight is another story. Some guys lose the weight as they get older and they become more active. However, if you eat lousy (fatty, greasy, salty, yucky foods, sugary snacks , no veggies, etc.), what you see is likely what you'll get, because your body is reacting to the exercise (or lack therof), as well as the stuff you're putting into it.

Eat right, exercise sensibly, and your body will thank you, and look much better too. Not? Then you'll be one of the approx. 60% of Americans who are clinically obese. Yuck.

You dont eat lunch at school?

how many meals do you not eat? Because iif you are trying to lose wait, on a crash diet, then stop. My friend got sick once for trying that. Its a big no no.

Try bringing a lunch. The most important thing to eat is a filling, healthy breakfast, though. Lunch isn't as much of an issue if you can eat a good breakfast, although both would be better. Many smaller meals are better than a couple very large ones.
