Question about rep?

I just went over checking my recently received reputation.

The last two ones I've recieved, the block next to it is gray and it looks like this http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/images/styles/silverblue/reputation/reputation_balance.gif.


What does this mean? I know that green is positive and the red is negative but what does this mean?

The grey one means that the person who gave it to you has no rep power.
For instance a 'noob' usually has no rep power. So basically when they gave it to you it didn't affect you hence the neutral color.

Actually, I do not know that one. I asked Ant and he does not know for sure too. Also don't forget that when that guide was created there was not a lot of repping and someone having Double Blocks was one of maybe three if I can remember. Then Val changed everything :P

The rep guide will be updated when I see fit and these questions may be added.

To the first question, which is mentioned in the rep guide, a grey block shows up in your UserCP when the person who modifies your reputation has no Rep Points. The block is named "neutral" for this reason, as it doesn't affect your Rep Points.

For the second question, they are not highlighted. The blocks are bright green. There's no reason for them to be like that, we could just continue having only plain green blocks, but whoever came up with the Reputation System Modification just wanted to do it this way.
