Being a keen sportsman I've had a lot of injuries in my young life.
I'll start with my incurable illness, which I dont exactly expect anyone here to cure. I'm a Type 1 Diabetic - I got diagnosed at the age of 10 after I had the flu. I have to do 5 injections per day, as well as 4 blood sugar level tests. You get used to it after a while, but I calculated the other day that I've done around ... 12500 needles in my lifetime. Ouch.
And as for my injuries, I managed to sever and completely tear my rotator cuff tendon (known as the Supraspinatus) which required surgery. This was basically done from trying to throw a cricket ball too hard. I'm sure the keen baseballers have done a similiar injury. Its better, but it will never be as good as it was.
And my back has had a ruptured disc twice, in the same spot, and a stress fracture in my lower back is also currently plagueing me, all from cricket.
And I'm only JUST turned 17. Ahh the hectic lifestyle of a failed sportsperson... :(
