iPod playlists

Well I have an 8 gig iPod nano.

I have a few good concerts and I want playlist that don't play track 1 from disc one and then play track 1 from disc two. I want them to follow in order.

I tried to do what my dad told me. He told me to list them all as "Track 1, track2, etc."

That didn't work. And now, since I don't want taken up space, I tried to delete the folders and re-rip the CDs. It says the following

"Genesis Columbus, OH 09-22-07 could not be deleted because there is no valid disc information"

And this causes everything else to not delete.

What is going on?

In iTunes select all the songs to be modified, right click the first one, click get info. From there modify the track number and hit next until you change them all.
