I stand above the ocean,
I stand above the ground,
I drive myself in circles,
Oh I go round and round,

Yet I'll never find the answers,
That I've always told myself I would,
I'll never help those people,
That I've always known I should.

Oh this darkness is as permanent,
As the blissfulness of light.
And my blood is now as permanent,
As my newfound lack of sight.

I whisper into silence,
And wonder if an ear,
Within a mile's radius,
Will even dare to hear...

These words I speak,
Those words I spoke,
Ripple through the air,
And break silence's hope...

Forever in denial,
Forever in despair,
Forever life in silence,
Forever no more cares...

I run to hide
And I hide to run
But I hate to run,
'Cuz it's all I've ever done...

The shadows dance around me,
As the moonlight sings a melody,
I wrap my arms around myself,
As if to say, the hell with it!
