Eurovision might be a pop trash leftover today, but still it is fun, and it has great history!
I will watch it this year , as I usually do.
This year for the ones that don't know, there will be 2 Semifinals on the 20th and 22nd of May. The final will be on the 24th!
Next week is Eurovision Week :yeah:

First Semi-Final

The First Semi-Final of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest has just finished, and the ten countries qualifying for the Final are known.
The representatives of nineteen countries have presented their songs tonight in the First Semi-Final of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest.

I am quite happy with the results, but if I could make just a change I think it would be better. The only objection I have is the qualification of Finland , the copy of Lordi. Instead The Netherlands should have made it to the final.

The Russian entry was not bad, but that callboy , dima is such a *bleeeeep*... He is so arrogant, and also if you noticed the whole stadium was Boooooing him, for obvious reasons. At least this year we had a few good songs.:yes:

Oh well UK last :( I feel so sorry for Andy since he thought he was gonna be great and we all said he was the best entry UK has had....then that happens to him :(

It's all maths my friend :(
That happens when a country breaks up in 15+ parts....
any country that breaks up in 15+ parts (see dissolution of USSR) with most of these parts having independent votes in the ESC makes it mathematically accurate to result in what happened tonight. More than 14 of the voters tonight were a part of the Soviet Union, which makes it obvious to see Russia as the winner.
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania ,Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, EstoniaAll of those countries were part of the Soviet Union and wow what a coincidence...2 of them were top 2, and each and all of these voted in ESC 2008...


I would suggest we all break up!
UK should break into England Wales, Scotland Northern Ireland. France something like that, Spain the same, as well as germany(which already is a union of states, not a single country as entity). Italy can break into pieces, greece can as well. we all will have a chance to win then! lol

Also, note that the Former Yugoslavia broke appart and all of these countries are taking part and voting in ESC independently.
