Our school crapb- er, macbooks were supposed to be "awesome" and "so much better than our Vaio's." Well, my Sony didn't shoot iMovie in the head and delete half of my fucking history project. Does anybody (iJack?) know of this happening, and how to get the project files back? And don't tell me I should save more often, because every change I make I save it, and then it just reverted back to a previous version. No trace of my 3+ hours of work.
Please...help me...I'm about to snap this laptop in half...

iMove automatically saves, so hopefully you should be able to just open it up and see it.
So you are saying you lost 3+ hours of work? Explain it more please.
BTW, dont snap it in half :D

Alright, I've been working on this project for about 3 hours. Probably more. All of the sudden, iMovie decided "Hey, fuck you!" and closed itself. I hit "reopen" and it did, loaded the movie and everything, except the movie was from much earlier today...as in half of the work I did wasn't there.

Is is iMovie '07, because it probably is. Go into Mac. Hd, users, [your user], movies, iMovie Projects and it should be there, if not, search for it using spotlight. If you still cant find it, DO NOT TURN IT OFF! If you already have, it may be too late. If you haven't, it may be still salvageable. Open iMovie and do "Shift Apple Z" if you get the error sound, its too late.
I suggest you go to your teacher, tell him/her what happened and try to get an extension.

Are you sure you didn't save the movie as something different and you loaded an older version with a different name?

Okay, I tried to find it, but there's no iMovie Prohjects folder...it's iMovie HD, by the way...
Also, I opened iMovie and did the keyboard thing and got the beep, so I guess I have to redo it all, huh..?

Im sorry, one downside to iMovie Hd and an upside (the only one) to iMovie '08 is auto saving. Go talk to your teacher

If you can remember what it looked like, it wont be that hard, also, you will know the material that much better:)

iMovie '08 says fuck you all the time but iMovie '06 is a version you can download if you have iLife '08 because the mac users are really hating on iMovie '08 cuz it sucks. But are you running leopard or panther? and also do you have Time Machine configured on it?
