Well sometimes that's the usual age most boys start. You started at ten, but it's not a big deal

No they are not lieing. It may seem a little early but that is a somewhat accurate depiction.

The age puberty starts has nothing to due with the size of your penis or breasts. 11 is just the average age which means that people start earlier and later than that.

I think 11 isn't even average, and i think that the class was stupid to say something like that, since you are probably not the only one worried. But no, everyone is different, and you might be early... but normal :)

That may be an average age. If your health teacher is giving you specific years and saying that's when everyone matures, she/he should be teaching a health class...

Dont worry there is no spacific age that peubety starts, it really just depends on the person. I dont think they are lying i think that kids usually dont start b4 they turn 11, but really its not a big deal.

It's really not a big deal. I started when I was like 9, some kids don't start till a few years after 11. It's just an average.

are they lying?
No.
What many people have to recognize is something called genetic variation from biology class. All organisms that reproduce have chromosomes that mix and change so that there can be a difference between all of the organisms in a species, so that if some major disease breaks out, some are still immune and the race can still continue. (example: anti-biotic resistant bacteria)
Part of this genetic variation can explain A LOT of puberty questions. Why are some people's dicks/boobs bigger? Why are some taller? Why am I so short (or tall) and others are different? Why am I not developed yet? Why am I developing one thing but not another?
It's all because of genetic variation. Every person is different, even from parents to children, and things WILL happen differently. There is not one person that is the same as you (except if you are a twin). Therefore, your genes will be different and unique from EVERYBODY else's. So don't expect to be the same from everybody. It's stupid.
So you started differently from the average. That's normal, because everybody's different.

I think to say that puberty starts at 11 is misleading, if not just wrong. As others have said, it's different for everybody.
I started at 12. I know somebody who didn't start until he was 14.

As everyone has said, everyone starts at different periods of time. For them to tell you it has to be eleven was a lie, for them to say people start puberty at 11 isn't a lie. Some do some don't. Really for them to tell you any age and not make it clear that it is an average or something is something they shouldn't have done.
