Usually the symptoms of weed are more mild than the harder drugs, basically he'll act high. And, yes, you should tell him to stop, explain to him that there are dangers to doing weed, and that it can seriously screw up his life. Help him get some sort of a hobby or something.

They get alot of acne to. Theres 20% more dangerous stuff than smoking cigarets. Perhaps get him some help by talking to a adult.

Im going both sides here, only thing wrong with it is he might spend more time smoking, waste money on weed and get fat (munchies). But if weed is so dangerous why is it legally liscensed for medical uses, it helps people cope with pain and other issues, its proven it does not give cancer, including lung cancer.

Only real medical flaw in marijuana is that it does mess with your memory, other than that unless your life is totally fucked, just leave him alone. As long as he isnt pushing you to try it then whats the problem

The truth is he will be lazy and unmotivated whilst high. Thats what happens to you.

It is usually prescribed to people with severe chronic or terminal illnesses who would rather have weed (which in some cases can help a lot more AND have less side effects than some other pain killers ) They DO NOT prescribe it to anyone with mental diseases disorders or any kind of depression because that isn't how you should deal with it.

Wikipedia isn't always correct. Anyone can write anything on Wikipedia, so it should be taken as opinion. If they link to a valid source to support their statements then you should link to that source as evidence, rather than Wikipedia.

If you see negetive effects in him smoking weed and it is affecting your relationship with him tell him you're worried and that you don't like what he is doing that about all you can do.

No you cannot just get weed "prescribed" you have to have a viable reason for getting it and anything that is mental/psychological is out of the question and you will be denied a prescription.
And unless your doctor is an idiot he won't prescribe weed to you for back pains.

This unless your friend really starts changing don't do anything, the most likely thing you'd do right now is piss your friend off

Ok first off stop with all the arguing about weed >.> Yes it is not really that bad but it still has bad qualities to it.Marijuana is A LOT better than lots of things like OTC drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes. You get a physical addiction to cigarettes and alcohol and you can easily overdose on most OTC drugs. You can't overdose on marijuana, because all that would happen is you'd be fuckin high as hell. Some people say that marijuana kills brains cells, but according to my friends who DO smoke weed, it only kills the cells that your not using.

Rock, I have lots of friends who smoke weed so I know what I'm talkin about, now the only difference that could happen if he starts smoking weed is he'll start to be kinda like spaced out. If you notice his personality start to change then thats the time to tell him to stop. If he spending all his money on it and his grades in school are starting to plummet then talk to him. As long as he doesn't keep on doing it for a long period of time, then you shouldn't have to worry. Smoking marijuana like 5 times doesn't do any long-term damage to you.

you.
And where did your friends get this information? and why would Marijuana just kill brain cells that you're not using?

It's not a disease, there are no "symptoms". If you're friend felt the same way before, I suggest you ask him why the change of heart. He might have a good reason.

Marijuana....silent killer? lol

On a more serious note, have you by any chance noticed any negative side effects associated with your friends new found habit? This would be a great time for you to do a little sociological experiment.

I smoke week. All three of my brothers smoke weed. My aunt and All three uncles smoke weed. my father, cousin and sister in law smoke weed. Of my CURRENT friends I know that...Nathan, Josh, Brent, Felize, Marika, Emily, Michal, Bryan, etc etc all smoke weed. My up stairs neighbor and both side to side neighbors smoke weed. My boss's all smoke weed, my teacher in the second grade, and hundreds of other people smoke weed. And of them Emily is a Criminal Law major, Felize is an amazing actress, Josh is a father and modern dance artist, Nathan is a comic artist, Michal is a manager, Bryan as well, Brent is a husband, father and administrator at a medical clinic, and I...well, lets not talk about me.

You get what I'm saying here. Weed doesn't make a person bad. There are good people and bad people alike that smoke weed. It doesn't ruin your life, it doesn't make you crazy or obese or depressed like many legal drugs. It doesn't fuck your insides or any of that jazz either.

In fact, its anti-cancerous according to recent studies (shrinking and even eliminating tumors in the lungs in SOME research paitents). And its widely known as one of the most benign substances known to science. Look at the Netherlands for example were weed has been decriminalized to the brink of legalization. A great proportion of the population in this country admits to smoking weed, and low and behold we have a productive and intellectual community of pot heads. Not to mention a predicted 15-40 percent of americans smoke weed. and were produc(destruc)tive enough.

Lay off your friend. Maybe give it a try(though I'm not supposed to tell you to do that). Live and learn.

email me at [email protected] if you really want to talk about this. I can tell you the truth, or, I can lie to you and tell you what a bad person your friend is and how naughty his actions are and how they will eventualy ruin his life, rub off on your and fuck everything up.

peace

well maybe it is because before he started he had awsome grades and was less negative about everything. now he is failing over half of his classes and is lazy and looks for the worst in everyone and everything. i dont that much about hes taking the drug, what i hate is how it is effecting him!!!

How old is he? And yourself for that matter.

Its important.....the whole rebellious stage. Maybe him smoking weed is amongst several "negative" habits hes apropriated in response to societies restrictions.

Do well in school! no
Dont smoke pot! no
Work hard! no
etc.

Maybe its not the pot that makes him the way he is. Hes going thew some hard times you say. Maybe thats the cause and pot has nothing to do with it.

Tell him you don't like the fact that he smokes weed. Are you fat? Maybe he would respond with "I don't like you eating food"

same argument.

Weed is a soft drug. it is legal in some countries. It has negative side-effects, but nothing major. It is, however, addictive. My older bro uses it. I think it smells bad. It smells worse then tobacco.

Maybe you should just stay out of his business. I seriously doubt he will stop because you tell him too, If someone tried that on me I'd laugh in their face.
