It will cause a build up of tar or blackish substance in your lungs, if you smoke like the average smoker

Smoking will not stop growth, but it may stunt growth. Although I haven't heard evidence of this, it's still a very bad idea to smoke at all because it is still harmful.

Smoking in your puberty years is worse than smoking at other times because the chemicals in cigarettes can damage parts of your body that may be responsible for your growth and development. Every time you smoke you are putting tar and other chemicals in your lungs, so even if you smoke just once in a while, over the years you will get a tar buildup.

can stunt growth, delay puberty and blah blah blah. Smoking even once in a while will cause tar to form on your lungs over time. Smoking is stupid. I need to quit.
