Mmm, I'd like to know if there's anyhting that really works, as well. I don't wanna continue spending loadsa cash on products claiming to work miracles. (Yes, I'm a sucker for anything that does blah blah blah within days!)

Well if you use neosporin on the cut immediately it will reduce the scarring as for using it on an already existing scar I do not know.

Actually Neosporin Oinment doesn't get rid of scars like most websites say. It prevents infection and that will help reduce scarring, but once the scar is healed it wont help.

Neosporin does have silicone based sheets that can get rid of scars or make them less noticeable. It's a pain though, my mom has tried them and she needed to wear them for 8 weeks and atleast 12 hours a day.
I don't think a small scar on your arm is worth that :P.

But maybe see a dermatologist, he or she will probably point you to the direction of an over-the-counter treatment you can purchase for cheap.

hah i knew that one :P
also i know that rubbing alchol reduces it too:)

a few are recent (past ..6 months. one's three weeks)..maybe it would help with the new ones at least

Well... i personally think that Neosporin does help when it is a fresh cut because i had a big (huge like 13in) cut and when it was fresh i put Neosporin on it and i have no scar. :) but that is just my experience.

Try Mederma. It's a cream that you rub into the scar two or three times a day, and over time it does make the scar smoother, and less noticeable. I had one on my leg that was just this thick purple line, and the Mederma helped get it to a pale pink that almost blends in with my skin tone (although it's still raised a bit). You won't suddenly notice that your scar is gone, it works really gradually, but after a few weeks you'll find that the scar just isn't so bad anymore. Keep using it either until you're satisfied or until the scar isn't improving anymore. My mom is using it on a scar she has from a recent excision of a spot on her leg, and it's actually doing a bit for that even. It's three inches long, the incision was about an inch deep, so it's not a pretty-looking scar. I think regardless of what your arms look like, this should help at least a bit.

Yes, I was trying to remember the name of it and couldn't. A friend of mine had scars from a surgery on his knee, tried it, looks fine now. I mean if you are looking for a flaw, yeah it's still noticeable but unless you take a good look at it. you don't notice it.

You buy it at the store. :) It's available at most drug stores/pharmacies, and often at the grocery store too, over by the band-aids and other first-aid supplies. It's not expensive, and one tube will probably last you quite a while. Either go to the grocery store with your mom/dad next time they go and make sure to grab some, or tell them you want it so they can grab some, or you can always walk/bike to the store yourself to buy it.
