View Full Version : Sore Feet

So I work upwards or 30 hours a week, and I'm on my feet for at least 4 hours at a time per shift, which is after getting out of school, where I'm constantly on my feet at school as I spend most of my time running around the hallways and delivering messages for teachers.

By the end of the day, I can hardly walk and when I wake up in the morning it effing hurts like hell to walk around for the first 30 minutes that I'm out of bed.

And the bad thing is that I have completely flat feet, no arches, so it's hard to find any shoes without that built-in arch support unless I get Converse... which we can't wear at work and any of the 'specified' shoes that we can wear have big arch supports in them so they bend the bottom of my feet in an unnatural position.

I was wondering, do those cushioned in-sole inserts work?

Because I was thinking about taking the built in soles out of my shoes and putting some of those in.

What dost thou think?

If you're having some real problems with your feet, perhaps consider seeing a podiatrist (sp?). I have a friend with similar foot problems, and she has specially made insoles that she puts into any pair of shoes she wears, and they've done her wonders.

I agree with Lauren, it might be an idea to go and talk to a...foot doctor :P
They can provide you with customised insoles, and maybe some exercises that can help with your flat feet and the pain.
Its also really important to get shoes that fit your feet properly as well.

Besides that, foot spa! :-) You can get them at reasonable prices.
Then relax and put your feet up!

I hope you manage to sort things! :-)

I would get Dr. Scholles feet pad things. Those would help because it takes less pressure off your feet

You'd really want to see your foot doctor, they can make insoles that specialize in flat feet, they can also design shoes made for your feet. Ben also has a huge problem with his feet because of that. He got it from his mother and he has to wear high top shoes all the time or the pain goes up to his knees and back, we need to take him to the doctor but he refuses. His mother just had a surgery done on one foot, the put a screw in her foot by her ankle and almost immediately a small arch was forming, it takes a while to heal from it, but that also helps.

But hun, I recommend you see your doctor for custom insoles.
