I have like 3 old computers that no one uses anymore so I took out the hard drives from them and was thinking about putting them into my computer that I'm using right now. Do I need a CD for them or can I just simply put them into the extra slots on my computer and they'll automatically work?

Cable select also works fine. Just make sure you have enough IDE channels. Each one can only have two devices on it. If they're really old they might have very low capacity, as well, along with a higher risk of failure.

They'll work fine, but depending on how old they are, they could end up slowing your computer down a lot. If you need more sotrage, new hard drives are amazingly cheap to buy now.
