View Full Version : Can pre-cum through clothes or chlorine get you pregnant?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.. I've been stressing out.
My period's late but I've had symptoms of PMS for over a week.. Unfortunately, PMS symptoms are also similar to pregnancy symptoms, so I naturally freak out.
Can a man's pre-ejaculatory fluids impregnate someone through two layers of PE shorts, underwear and pantyliner?
My period was late last month also, but it was uber heavy when it did come..
I feel like I can't talk to my mother about this..

No, pre-cum is simply a natural lubricant for the inside of the penis to make it easier for the sperm to come out. It contains no sperm itself so even if it was released directly into the vagina you could not get pregnant.

I've heard this a lot, but I'm a freaky anxiety piece of freakiness and can't keep any logic in my head.
I didn't bother to check if there were any of his fluids on my clothing because his moist spot was so small.. I thought it was improbable.
Now my period is like 5 days late and I'm loaded with PMS symptoms.

How old are you? Because in puberty your period can come at really weird times. As I said, even if the pre cum went directly into your vagina, you would not get pregnant. With like 4 layers of fabric it isn't even going to reach your skin. So basically unless he actually ejaculated (The real kind) into your vagina, which I'm guessing not, there is no way for you to get pregnant in this situation.

I'm fifteen. I've heard that pre-cum can carry sperm unless the man hasn't masturbated or had any sexual activity in a week or so.. He didn't ejaculate, no.
Thanks for the opinions.

Well I may be wrong, but I think that it would only carry sperm because after masturbation there may be some that gets lft behind in the penis, but by the time it comes out in the pre-cum it would be pretty dead. Certainly not strong enough to get through 4 layers of fabric and somehow find its way up your vagina.

Since it was heavy last month I think that it's possible for you to even skip this month or just have a small period especially during puberty so don't worry its just puberty.

Honestly? That's something I've never heard before.. Thanks a bundle.
But, I'm confused to why I'm having these symptoms.. Is there any type of mental condition where stressing and worrying about illnesses or conditions can actually give you physical discomfort in appropriate areas?
It would be the third time that it would've happened.
Once, I was over-worrying about my friend who has some heart problems, the next day I felt strange pains in my chest areas that went away when he started getting better..
Another, I don't have allergies and never have. However, my classmate had an allergy attack thing during class and the rest of the week I had symptoms of having indoor allergies after being to the doctor.. This week I don't have any signs.

Okay well to be completely honest with you my friend did get pregnant because of pre cum touched her directly. But this is VERY rare. Pre cum can carry the sperm left behind.
You might be having anxiety too. Pregnancy anxiety can actually give you the symptoms but it's all in your head.
It is VERY UNLIKELY that pre cum went through layers of clothes and you conceived.
I wouldn't worry about it, because chances of becoming pregnant that way are nearly impossible.
And if by chlorine you mean in the pool, no. Sperm usually can't live in cold temperatures like pool water. If he does not cum in you directly, then no you can't get pregnant in a pool.

No, that is not true. Pre-cum can have a few stray sperm in it and it's unsafe (it can still carry diseases aswell).

Very very unlikely, especially since it's precum (so it's not a full load) and it would have to go through fabric. Even though it's microscopic, you're pretty much safe, but it's not something you should still let happen

There isn't a name for it, but yes! Stress can cause physical discomfort. It can damage the body and the mind, and can kill if you're under too much stress. Stress is very dangerous

True, and since you're in puberty, you may experience irregular periods (so you may skip months at a time) before your hormones and body are adjusted.

Yeah, I remember seeing it.. Tiny, tiny amount on the front of his shorts.
I can't imagine that getting anywhere.. Especially when it's drying off already.
I'm having this weird feeling in my stomach.. That gross bloated feeling.. It's kind of worrying me.
I guess I'm worried more about being pregnant than using logic in thinking about HOW I would've gotten pregnant.. =/

Charmander, do NOT worry.
Sperm CANT go through clothes. Although the semen may cause dampness in the clothing, sperm cannot swim through it.

Very true!
By the sounds of things you have put yourself under a lot of stress worrying about this. On top of the fact you are young and your period generally doesnt settle down properly when you are a teenager, it is hardly surprising that it is late... :eyebrow:
The fact that you were getting chest pains when you were stressed isnt a good sign and it might be an idea to go and talk to your doctor about this...
Besides that? Take a chill pill! :P

charmander.. love the name haha. well even if pre-cum can go through clothes, it wont get you pregnant. the only way a girl can get pregnant is when the sperm is released directly (without taking any outside air because the sperm has to stay a certain degrees), in the woman. so nah, you're fine. no need to worry

i wouldnt worry about it. However i just think its good for u all to knoe that sperm can live at room temparature for a couple houres. the amout of sperm contained in pre-cum would not survive a trip through your clothing and all the way to the egg so you dont really have anything to worry about.

Would everything you guys told charmander still apply if you were grinding on your bed with your boyfriend and some pre- cum was kinda comming through his boxers and all that was seperating us was his boxers and my underwhere?
