What is the meaning of love? I think all of us have asked ourself this question. For some of us this question keeps us awake at night (especially for me because I always wonder about stuff at night) Other than happiness, I think love is what we all pursue for the most. Here's a quote from the bible we always hear in weddings:

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy.
Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude;
It is not self-seeking, nor easily angered.
It keeps no record of wrongdoing.
It does not delight in evil,
But rejoices in the truth.
It always protects, trusts, hopes, and preserves.
There is nothing love cannot face;
There is no limit to its faith, hope, and endurance.
In a word, there are three things that last forever:
Faith, hope, and love;
But the greatest of them all is love.

~1 Corinthians 13:4-7

So really what is love? Feel free to give any ideas.

P.S. I'm agnostic but I go to church. This is one of my favorite passage from the bible.

Love is when you don't want to sleep because reality is better than your dreams

Nope.. I've never thought about it and I hopefully don't know anyone who has.

There is nothing to think about, theres a reason this saying exists: you will know when its love

To me love is everything and I really don't feel like trying to explain something like this over the internet..

Something from which we expect or want nothing but its existence.

That's not much of a definition, but it's sure a hard concept to define...

My favorite part of the Bible, too :)

What is love? Everything. The best definition of love I can give is this:

Love is when no series of events can change your core view of a person.

Dating someone? Love them? Really?

If the were hurt in an accident and they're face was permanently ruined in a terrible ugly way, would you stay with them?

If you can really really really say that you would, and you AREN'T LYING TO YOURSELF, then congrats.

Think of your best friend. Not someone you're attracted to at all. No number of disfigurations could change how important they are to you or how much time with them means to you.

That's love. Nothing can change love.

Love is hard to find in today's society... True love that is...
