i love nirvana, so happy my friends introduced me to them. they were brilliant, they are songs that we're meaningful, and had such an amazing story behind them (kurt's life).

They have made some half decent songs, but they are nothing, NOTHING on the great grunge bands of their time like Soundgarden and Pearl Jam etc.
I hate kurt, he killed himself because he couldn't handle the fame? I think thats quiet pathetic, loads of people would do anything for that chance and he throws it away.
Oh and yes thats right it was suicide, not bloody courtney love. She was a fuck up yes but hole were a much better band than nirvana. When both partners are strongly addicted to skag you can't expect much..
I dont get why everyones so fucking obsessed with him :x

Cobain is the best singer to date. His voise is loud and yet lovley to hear.... the lyrics of his songs are just WOW.... i cant explain... its just... u can listen to him over and over... and not get tired of him

Yeah, he's good. I get tired of Nirvana after a while though, kind of drones on. He can start to sound a bit whiny and such and just like a stoner, but he is definitely good and did something major for the grunge era... like embody it. Haha.

Much respect he indeed deserves. Kurt is a legend anyway you look at it.

I think grunge was dying sanyway and Nirvana would of lost its place at this point in time. Given their drummer left to Foo Fighters and such, the Seattle scene was dying out mid 90's.

Grunge yes was dying around the early 90s like 93/94. Mainly because Punk was just coming back in.
