So I was watching the news and it showed seconds after a bus crashed where 2 people where killed. I think it's so wrong that people would film an accident. I couldn't film it if anything I would be frozen or running over to help.
So my question do you think it's right or wrong to film something like this ?

That's why I always carry my GoPro and chest-strap with me. I can help people and sell the footage to the news! :D

In a lot of places, and pretty much all non-western countries, the news shows full uncencored footage of accidents and murders, corpses, you name it.
We're pretty easily shocked here because our news doesn't really show much.

apparently some students were tweeting during the shooting in Oregon, and reporters were tweeting back asking if they could be reached for an interview :lol3: a surreal moment in an otherwise ordinary day

One day I saw a video, two guys were faking a murder in an elevator and have placed a camera to film the people's reactions when the doors open. One of them just filmed the murder with his cellphone, I think he ran away afterwards.

Well it's not really moral, because you could help people but prefer filming. And taking pictures (without authorization) of someone suffering. Well...

I think in a society where technology gets ever so more advanced, more people will resort to filming a accident and or crime scene than trying to actually help the victim(s).

Just thinking about it right now, In my own opinion i think it's almost like a natural selection.

I think it is actually preferred in a lot of cases to film. Obviously, if you could help the person in need, then you'd be an ass hole not to help them. However, if you can't help, then the best thing you can do is document the accident so that it can be analyzed and we can know how the person died or was injured.

For evidence purposes in court this makes sense.

If someone dies in an accident like the one described in the OP, there isn't much you can do to help them other than dial 911, unless you have medical training.

In filming there is a rule you can see this mainly when filming wildlife they can't help even a small injured animal.its like you are not supposed to break the forth wall. But I don't think it's right involving humans
