Hello. So recently I've seen some guys at my school who are 1-3 years older than me who have a six pack (I'm in year 9 by the way). So I just wanted to know at around what age is it possible to get a six pack and how to get one.
Thx

You can get a six pack at any age. Abs are always there, they are muscle. Without them, you wouldn't be able to move or use ur abdomen at all. You need to get rid of the fat layer and maybe build them up (like any other muscle) for them to show.

Something that I realized is that ab workouts are necessary if you sprint or a do a lot of cardio which decreases the the total amount of body fat % thus making your abs more visible.

Six pack abs are not actually a sign of strength. Although that's how visible muscle is perceived, it's not a sign of physical strength at all. Most of the time it's a sign of low body fat. I know guys who don't have visible six pack abs but can do tonnes more crunches than the guys that do. Ask the models that do these things. They give up a lot for six packs (adults anyway - your metabolism will change after you get through puberty).
Anyways, as you asked.. to get a six pack it's not just about focusing on your core. It's focusing on the whole body. You'll need to do rigorous cardio to bring fat down (depending on your metabolism, a lot of people the age you're talking about have it naturally because they have a high metabolism) and then focus on workouts like crunches, sit ups etc. - don't overdo it. The thing about most muscles is: you can work them over and over but not actually gain any real muscle tissue growth and the only thing you've done is improve your endurance (which is good).
First, ask yourself: are you doing this for the physical appeal that is attached to six pack abs or to be strong and mighty? If it's the latter, bulk up.
Momentum (p) = Mass * Velocity. You want muscle mass and endurance at a balanced level - not one or the other.

During early teens its easy...by 14 or so I too had some defenition...B4 that I was skinny as hell but had not tummy definition....Then by around 15 I started to get a bit of tummy fat..Now at 17 my body is skinny-fat and has a little bit of belly fat sticking out...It's kind of cute if you go by some girls' comments...

Some really good answers already I agree its not so much age as how much fat you carry on your tummy and that is partly genetics too. I've seen little kids at gymnastics who are pretty ripped. I have an ok one myself (i'm not long turned 13) but if you do something like gymnastics or swimming where you have to use all your muscles working together then just having good abs is pointless imho. My advice is do a good overall workout so you get tone and useful strength.

I think you have to have something like less than 5% fat on your abdomen to have a visible six pack (or that's what my old biology teacher said anyway).
You can theoretically get a six pack at any age however it is either through a genetic disorder with not producing enough body fat or a lot of exercise.

Getting a 6-pack will involve a 3 step process.
1. Diet
2. Cardio
3. Specific ab tightening exercises.
First the diet. Watch it very carefully. Even if you are at your correct weight, you want to make sure that you stay that way. If you have a bit of flab covering your ab section you are going to have to reduce your calories and up your metabolism through cardio.

they take a lot of work. i work out a lot and don't have a super defined 6-pack (then again I eat a lot I shouldn't haha). so yea, you can get them but you just don't get them for doing nothing, they are going to take a lot of work
