So I have a friend who is a girl and she has had a crush on me for months now, maybe a year at this point, and I know for a fact she still has that crush. I had been thinking about asking her out for a while now, and the only reason I haven't done it yet is because I didn't want to ruin our friendship. And well here's the problem. I had a weird dream about her. Here it goes to the best of my memory.

We snuck around to the side of the house where we were alone, and couldn't been seen, and we started making out. She asked me to take my shirt off so I did, and we continued kissing. Then we were about to be caught so we ran in different directions, I remember turning back, but I woke up right there.

I don't know what to do. My schools homecoming is pretty soon, and I kind of want to go, and well kind of don't. point is do I ask her out? What was with my dream, like was it just hormones? i'm just very confused right now.

Also, everyone thinks we would be an awesome and cute couple. so there is pressure for me to "get some balls and ask her out"

Dude, definitely ask her out. Her crush is great and she'll still be your friend anyway.

It means while you were asleep and the logical side of your brain is relaxed and resting and not overthinking things, the emotional part of your brain was dictating what you really want to do at a gut level.

You running in different directions in your dream represents a fear of losing her, and the fact that you're starting to wake up and the logical side of your brain is awakening.

Fact: having someone as a friend, is not the same as having them romantically. If you need to experience the latter out of love/lust, you should do so, because keeping them as a friend doesn't satisfy that craving curiosity.

TLDR; ask her out, take her to homecoming and if it fails then it fails. You'll still be alive at the end of the day.

Mate in these situations you cannot use logical thinking always use your gut instinct for these kind of problems

Good Luck mate!!

you could always ask her out as a friend and see where the night takes you; or, you could take a leap of faith and scrap the friendship and go for the boyfriend/girlfriend thing and see how that works out; or, you could just leave things as they are, keep your good friendship with her, and find another girl.

Adding to this, also pursue her romantically if you like her. Screw the friendship, I suspect the feeling's mutual.

Inaction, on a crush, can be just as devastating as taking action and getting rejected.

The safe zone is a lie.
