Why are all guys hitting on that girl?

So im my class we're 40, and there are about 25 boys. And there is this girl, petite, cute, with a super cute smile. And she's really pretty, and nice and awesome. And she looks like a baby angel to protect:D
But in the class there are at least 5 super hot girls as well, and all guys (like 20 I swear) go to this one girl.
And also she's a year younger, we're all 15/16 she's 14.

And my friends and mum say that since she doesn't seem to care about the attention, they will eventually stop hitting on her so hard and focus on other girls! + My crush is hitting on her too.

That's so annoying, although I'm happy for her. So if there are at least 5 hot girls, super beautiful, why are all guys hung up on her? Damn.

Usually (and I'm not saying this is EVERYONE, or anywhere near it), but where I live, new girls like that usually get more attention, and guys like shorter girls.
Does that girl like flirt with the guys/wear really short clothes/show cleavage? That could be another reason why the guys are attracted to her...

No, she looks 14, dresses normally and yes she's new. And comes from a little town.

It may be because they feel she is more "attainable" as far as returned attention and a possible relationship is concerned. Not that I believe in the whole "out of my league" attitude, but I'm sure there are a lot of people who will view the nice, cute girl as "a better chance" than the so-called hot girls.

I suspect this is going on too.

Being "new" compounded by the fact that she's, according to this thread, really attractive, is driving the guys nuts in an attempt to be a part of her social network, and in many cases might be an attempt to get within range of her pants or at the very least be "arm candy".

Not all of the male attention will be behind that motivation, but a lot is I suspect.

If she's Victoria Secret level attractive, this male attention won't be fading anytime soon.

What will make it fade is time once it's clear who her social circle will become.
