Pre-cum is always clear whereas cum can be clear when you first start to produce it but usually soon becomes cloudy then eventually white. There can even be times when it looks like a bady mixed sauce with some white bits and some clear.

So timing is better indication of which fluid it is rather than colour. if it oozes out when you are aroused or while you are stroking then it is almost certainly pre-cum. It it comes out at orgasm in spurts (whether or not they go very far) then it is almost certainly cum.

If you get it during, it's pre-cum. If, like you replied to someone, get white cum, that's always the real cum and that means you just had an orgasm. If you get only clear sticky liquid and you experience a "phenomenal sensation", you just had a dry orgasm.
