I vaguely remember a minor panic because two big buildings in America got blown up by Arabs. I remember thinking "big deal".

I barely remember a thing, except the shock which hit many people here in those days.Surely no one would expect a greater quake is going to happen later.

I have a really faint memory of watching dubya stammering into a megaphone on top of a rubble pile (foreshadowing the 155th Congress) or it may have been a still print in a mag, whatever
lol the patriotic kitsch of 9/11 is a cringeworthy classic, google some of that shit if you want to cringe until your face rolls up like a window shade. it's been a nonstop shitshow ever since, which I was unfortunately born just in time to see. things were far from perfect before but I don't think 9/11 as the "before shittiness/after shittiness" epoch is illusionary...it did something. the shit got perceptibly shittier.

Don't remember don't really care. Always funny to me how the biggest damage 9/11 did wasn't even to those towers or the people but to the USA as a whole, culturaly and politicaly.
you know "war on terrorism" and the general "all brown people with beards have bombs" story

I never understood how a couple of corporate HQ towers could be taken as a symbol of ARE CUNTRY *sarcastic chuckle* but seriously four-fifths of these patriotards had never heard of the WTC or gave two shits about NYC (not that NYC is worth caring about) until 9/11. they still can't give a precise or coherent motive - tl;dr some camel jockeys decided to blow up the world's highest McDick's because they hated ARE FREEDUMS, etc. then you've got the fedoras of the shiny tinfoil variety who claim it was a vast government conspiracy to fool the people into taking away some illusionary rights, "rights" that the same fedoras elsewhere claim were routinely violated covertly by this same gov't anyway :lol3:

I was celebrating my second birthday! ^w^ And then my grandfather rushed inside and wanted us to turn on the TV but my mom didn't want us to turn on the TV because i was having a birthday and it would be really rude and they got into a huge verbal fight thingy- i'm pretty sure that my grandpa and mommy fighting had more influence on me than the towers crashing down :p
exactly a year ago, my English teacher threw a huge tantrum and evicted me from that lesson, telling me to "go to the principal" and shit or whatever its called in english, because someone in the class mentioned it was my birthday that day and i was a disrespectful brat for, well, having my birthday that day. i still cri everytim. ;w;

I would've been 3 around that time. I honestly don't remember anything from then. My mom tells me she picked me up from daycare and cried a lot.
Also, as a side note, I'd appreciate if we'd treat the incident with a little bit of respect.

Well, if all the warnings weren't ignored, this could've never happened. Also the same number of civilians died during NATO (read: US) bombings of Serbia, yet our traitorous government doesn't mourn them, nor the people exiled from Srpska Krajina and Kosovo, nor the soldiers who fought for us during the civil war. I'll just say nobody deserved what happened on 9/11 and what the West did to us. It was the greatest exodus after WWII at that time.

Same happened to Serbia in 1999 nobody bated an eye. So why should I care about US tragedies? I think it was CIA, too many strange things happened that day.

We had a lesson on suicide in my health class the other day and apparently like 1 person kills themselves every thirteen minutes or something like that.
I feel worse for suicide victims than 9/11 tbh.
Anyways, 9/11 was a really shitty thing, but it really wasn't mainly because of the event itself, but because of the effect it had on the American people and our outlook on terrorism. I was 1 year old at the time, so I didn't actually witness it; however, I've learned about it every September for the past few years.

Let's stay on the subject of the thread.
Of course for someone who hasn't grown up in the US nor has consciously experienced this time, 911 it's nothing more then a side note of history or such, which took place in New York City of 2001 on September 11.
Also no one should show any pathetic respect for the victims of that terror attack if she/he really isn't into this, cause actually the asked question here ist just about what you did on that day, 911.
And no one must mention any facts that are either pure conspiracy theory or unsecured facts.
That's simply stuff for a different thread i guess.

I was chilling on Cyprus when the towers fell. If you ask what the hell was I doing on Cyprus, check 1999 US bombing of Serbia. I was just a little boy, playing around. It had no effect on my life.

I was almost three, barely remember it. I only remember my parents waking all me and my siblings up to watch the news because they felt it was important to see it, I guess. Two of my siblings had no idea how serious it was so they were just kidding around going, "ooooh ahhhh" like they were watching fireworks and my parents got really mad.

I remember seeing it on TV and making some connection between the collapses and the lego I was playing with earlier. Of course today I have more of a stance on the whole thing than just lego, but lego could have some metaphorical purpose too, maybe.

Well, bombing the Pentagon didn't really do mucb as to damage the military. They didn't even hit the important parts.
