Hi guys! Two days ago I noticed a small hard lump on my left testicle. It is very small, not even as a pea. I told my father and we'll visit a doctor soon but I want to inform here first. Is it possible that this isn't the worst? I'm very afraid that it is cancer but I don't wanna even think about it. Has anyone here experienced something similar?

Thanks a lot

Could just be a cyst, but its good to get it checked out because testicular cancer is common in teens. usually 15-39 though.

I am sorry you are having that problem and I hope that when you goto the doctor that he tells you that its nothing to be worried about. I havent had that problem, but I am sure I can relate to your anxiety about it. Good luck

Like Camo114, I think it is much more likely to be a cyst but it's one of those cases where it is better to be checked out properly.

I know it's easy to say but try not to get all worried and worked up for that appointment. It won't help anyhow.

I had something like that happen before, and as it turned out I just was feeling the epididymis if I am not mistaken. Your lump could be something small like a cyst, and you should not get freaked out. You did the right thing by getting checked out because if it is something more serious, then at least you have caught it really early. If you catch testicular cancer really early, then there is a very high rate of eliminating it. At this stage don't get worried, and let us know what the doctor says you have.

I went through a similar situation this time last year and ended up in a right state because I was worried and didn't want to go to the doctor. Trust me, it's much better to go than worry about it. It is likely an epididymal cyst or similar. Also look up hydrocele, and it could be this. They are both common and completely harmless.

You've done the right thing. The likelihood is that it's nothing to worry about, but prepare yourself for the worst. Keep us updated :)

All it's possible but it's very unlikely that you've cancer at your age. More likely is a skin issue. And in the worst scenario, we can do all our stuff with just 1 testicle, as we do with just 1 kidney.

Good luck!

I had a very similar issue about 3 years ago with an extremely small lump on my left testicle. Had it checked out by my doc, got an ultrasound done on it, and it was nothing at all to be worried about.
You're doing the right thing having your doctor check you out however, I'm sure you'll be fine!!

Hey guys! I visited a doctor today and he said that he thinks it's only a hydrocele, nothing to worry about.
He recommended to make an ultrasound check. Thanks to God, I'm so relaxed now. :-)

I've had the same like 2 years ago, it turned out to be nothing. If it causes you pain and distress and is inflated in size it could potentially be cancerous but at your age it would be incredibly rare. I wouldn't get too worried about it, but it is best to be checked anyway. Better to be safe then sorry.

I'm glad that things worked out, and it was good that you had gotten your issue checked out. At least you were open with your family which is the right way to go when there are problems.

I'm glad it all worked out. And good on you for telling your dad and doing something about it, despite it being rather embarrassing.

If you are away from other neighbors and or go hunting or fishing frequently and pee outside, it is very possible you have a mosquito or a chigger bite on your testicles. I have had that happen several times.
