Hey guys, I'm a virgin and I'm wondering what the best way/place to get condoms is. With the least amount of awkwardness. Also Im planning on using a couple as practice condoms and just putting them on my dick to see if i know how to do it. Good idea or nah?

Ask your friends that work at drug stores if they notice, or care, if someone buys condoms. No one does. Working at a drug store is the worst and they just want to ring you up and get you out the door.
That said, go to a drug store a little farther away where you know you won't see anyone if you are nervous.
I think practice is good because condoms can break when you don't use them right.
Just relax and don't sweat it.

If you go to Tesco there is usally a machine that dispenses condoms 3 for £1 (and oddly enough Tick tacks) in the bathroom.
If it is not that busy you will probably be able to go in and get some relatively undisturbed.
But like Twin said the self service till is another good option.

Just try it on, thats a good idea.
And I'd always buy something else. If you buy 10 products, the condoms aren't that obvious.

In Greece there are some supermarkets that sell condoms , but the easier place is a pharmacy

I like Trojan the best. They've got a really good variety and are known to be better than Durex, a competitor of theirs. Another thing, don't go for the ribbed ones that cost extra. They're a scam.

I think going to a drug store is the best advice, especially going to one away from where you normally go in case you might see someone you know. Practicing is always best because itll help you get the hang of putting one on when the time comes to do it.

You could use a self-service checkout or buy some online. I've done both of these.
Also you could maybe look for a vending machine which sells them usually in toilets, or they sometimes give them out for free at clinics at school/college

Nobody notices when you buy them, I am sure.
But a lot of schools give them out free, and so do clinics, so that is an option too.

Here in Texas the center of universal enlightenment they keep condoms locked up in a glass case and you have to get the clerk to unlock it for you. Needless to say that discourages people my age from getting them (that's the idea). My older brother got some for me as he's 18 and they have to get them for him. Will use the first one next week!!!!

Just go the store and ask for them. Definitely make sure you feel comfortable using them first.

that is tire. if you do end up buying them, no one should make a big deal at all. if they do, complain to the manager. seriously, they sell them everyday. just may want to put them somewhere your parents won't see if you are hiding them from them

You can go to your local Walgreens, CVS, Wal-Mart to buy some. And just remember you shouldn't be the one embarrassed, because who's the one getting laid? :P
Occasionally you might find a pack (Of good trusted brands) at a smallb gas station (Not the ones in the bathroom dispensers, the ones on the shelves which can have Trojans, Durex, Etc )
Which might be ideal since there's much less people

I assume the "center of universal enlightenment" was said tongue in cheek. It is this kind of "burying one's head in the sand" by the authorities than ensures the USA has a higher teen pregnancy rate than Europe.
This does highlight that the best place to get them will depend very much on where you live. Here in the UK they are on sale a supermarkets, corner shops, pharmacists and available in vending machines in gents toilets in various places especially in pubs (bars) and night clubs - presumably so if you meet someone there and feel like going home for sex you can grab one on the way. Some charities and family planning organisations also give them out for free.
Full marks, by the way, for intending to practice putting one on before you actually need to. It is much better to get familiar while relaxed and not under any pressure.

Just go to a pharmacy/drug store/supermarket. There is nothing awkward in practicing safe sex and staying clear of STD's and unwanted pregnancies. If you personally feel awkward you can always go during nighttime.
But remember, if you are old and mature enough to have sex, you're mature enough to buy condoms regardless of what others think.

Here's an idea:
Go to anywhere that sells Visa gift cards... buy some (if you don't have a credit card)... then buy the condoms on Amazon. Boom. Total privacy.
(LOL... I see someone else already suggested that, but oh well.)

Update:
I havent had sex yet but i practiced putting on a few condoms. The durex condoms didn't list a size but they feel very tight. Should it fit or should I get different ones?

There is nothing to feel awkward about when getting condoms :P Some pharmacies have a bowl of them giving them out for free or just buy it at a local drug store, that's where i get mine :)
