Um, I didn't study for it all, and ended up getting a 30 on it. Obviously that doesn't help you much, but it really isn't that bad in my opinion. Are you taking the essay? That was the hardest part for me. Everything else, I feel like you can answer just using context clues from what they give you.

Yes im taking the essay, if I can ask why was it so hard for you, im really worried about the essay because I suck at writing.

What type of studying have you done, if any?

It's more that you have a limited time to write, and you basically have to write a persuasive essay in a short amount of time. For me, it was thinking about what exactly I wanted to say, but once I got going, I was able to get it done.

Okay. Really, the ACT is about being as quick as possible. Manage your time well. Also, don't bother trying to read or understand most of the data tables and graphs and whatnot on the science portion; you'll waste time that way. Read the questions first and then look at the relevant information. Otherwise, just relax and trust yourself. You've done a good amount of studying. You know this stuff. You can do it.

As others have said, the ACT is all about speed. I am really good at english and grammar, so I flew through the English section. If you are bad at math like I am, it pays to practice using prep books and also know the many functions of your calculator. If you have a TI-84 calculator, it also pays to write your own programs. I highly recommend practicing the Reading and Science sections under a time limit. I was able to get really good at the Reading section but could never do well at the Science, which ended up always ruining my scores. Don't worry about the essay. Every college I visited said that they require the essay but don't even look at it. Hope it helps.
