Fiction

I know I look at lots of things in my past and feel like the worst things are the ones that really made me stronger and also gave me determination.

But then again, how much sadness can one person take? Will it always make you stronger or does there come a point where it just beats you down.

What do you think?

I dont agree in this "whatever doesnt kill you makes you stronger"

-maybe I didnt die, but Im still in a coma
-maybe I lost a leg, but it made me run faster

And I dont think the soldiers coming home stressed from war zones, feel any stronger.
I think people who have lived through cancer, is weakened too.

In many cases, trouble and problems, will teach you to fight harder. But thats trouble and problem that hardly scratches the surface in comparisom to "doesnt kill you".

I think that being raped, made me stronger. Like I always heard it was horrible, but couldn't really put myself in a victims shoes and understand before it happened to me.
This will sound bad. The experience provided me with insight that I value and I'm not affected by it anymore so it improved my personality.

You won't be physically stronger by losing your arms and legs. However, for certain people, there is no limit to what they can handle mentally.

That's how I feel about my problems with mental illness, that it gave me valuable insight, and I'm hoping one day I'll be able to look at the issues I'm facing now in that way.

Nah heartbreak is always there, always resided in some deep cavern in your chest, so no, I don't think it makes u stronger. But learning from the mistakes u made during that relationship is always nice because you realize how stupid u were and what type of people to avoid

I think that if you can learn from something then you are stronger, if only mentally.

It kind of depends. There are some things that can happen to you which provide no positive results to outweigh the negatives and are thus only beating you down.

However, depression and anxiety have sort of made me a better person because now I know how to deal with it and be inspired to help others.
