It is too late in the summer or me to transfer from the school I'm registered for. I have been going to my current school for a year and I have recently wanted to move in with my mom but thy would require moving schools. I do not want to switch mid term because switching mid term can cause I huge drop in grades from being behind. Do you think it would have a notable affect on my grades if I switch after semester 1 ends and then start at the new school atthe start semester 2. That way all the classes would be starting and I would not be behind. if it so this I could go to the new school rather than waiting a year. Anyways the main question is would t have a notable affect on my grades if I switch between semesters and start during the second semester?

I switched a month after school started (we didn't do anything!) and at the new school they were so much ahead...but I managed to catch up and finished with honors.

If you think you can do it, you can transfer whenever you want. If you want to take the safe route, do it after the first semester ends (that's pretty common where I live).

Basically, if you're willing to do extra work at home and catch up you can also transfer mid-term, but if you said that you want to do it after the first semester ends then feel free to do it. I personally don't think that'll affect your grades.
