Well,I really am not aware of what Europe's policies about importing gas are already, but maybe it would be a good subject for starting a discussion.Europeans I sincerely urge you to give us more information about this matter.

So let us begin shall we?

I do not know if this is true or not,but I some kinda guess that most gas imports of Europe in past years were from Russia,is that right?

What would European countries like to do to decrease their dependency on Russian Gas or even in general Gas itself?I mean for example replace other forms of energy with gas.

Yes most gas Europe uses is from Russia, it comes frew Ukrain. This was espacely evident a few years ago when the shut it of because Ukrain wouldnt pay, and entire Europe was freezing. Some of the gas also comes from Algeria and some from N See, but most and the cheepest comes from Russia. That is why the curent sanctions exclude oil and gas.
A new stream was planed to come frew the balcans, but the fact EU made unfounded sanctions towards Russia made Putin engry and he shut down the project (it was called "south streem") now a new project is in planing to bring us some more Russian gas frew turkey.

tovaris,Turkey itself is already importing Gas from both Russia and Iran.I wonder what economic interests would Turkey gain if a day it was going to become an export gate for Iran's gas to Europe, however according to recent news it seems that this plan is not expected to be done.

What about trying to decrease dependency on gas in general?I have heard many of the European countries have become more interested in restorable resources since years ago.Of course they might not be as effective as gas is in poroviding energy for a long period of time, but still they are pretty good solutions for temporary shortage of more serious resources.

You mentioned North Sea.What about the storage of gas which is there?I think there is a reasonable amount of gas there too.

The EU screws around. When Putin shuts the valve again, our bums will be freezing.

Well, transition to geothermal heating where possible, promote electric heating, then the users can shut it down during the summer, reducing maintenance for central heating complexes. Also strive for less dependancy on oil and promote nuclear power plants.

I know for a fact that in the netherlands there's a giant amount of gas but pumping it has drasticly decreased because it resulted in earthquakes, so now gas is being imported (which is terribly for the economy)

Transition to nuclear and hydroelectric? Basically an infinite resource (not really for uranium but it will last for ages), also you can establish water filtering stations at every dam after the turbines so it would not damage the power output.

With the proposed turkeish streem turkey would recieve an influx of revenue due to tranzit fees. Not to mention the power to turn of europes gas or refuze to affept it from their old nemasis

hydroelectric > nuclear

ideally the EU collapses though. THE GAS MUST FLOW.
