I keep on worrying that masturbation is a sin and I stopped for once but I just can't, I usually stopped for almost a month but I bounced back on masturbation again, I just can't stop. It's like am full of semen and want to load off. Is Masturbation wrong? Is it a sin?

From a religious point of view different people have different views. For Christians and Jews there Genesis 38:8 to 38:10 which as been cited as prohibiting masturbation. Those who advance that point of view note that Onan "spilled his semen on the ground" and was put to death so they generalise that into any spilling of semen as being a sin. That isn't how I would read that - there was a specific duty under hebrew law for Onan to provide children for this dead brother's wife and he deliberately avoided doing that by practicing coitus interruptus, i.e. the withdrawal method of birth control.

There is also Matthew 5:27–28 (New Testament) which has sometimes translated as "a man who lusts after a woman who is not his wife commits adultery with he in his heart" but could equally be translated as "a man who so lusts after a woman married to another man that he longs to make her his own commits adultery with he in his heart" which is quite different. The latter interpretation would allow a single man to lust after a single woman. As for other half of your questions, most days I masturbate at least once, quite a few days it is twice and occasionally I skip a day.

He's trying to say that the views of masturbation as a sinful action varies from person to person depending on the religion. Some religions state that masturbation is a sin directly and some don't. The examples he was giving are from Christianity and Judaism where they don't directly say that masturbation is a sin and that people use those verses to say that it is wrong even tho masturbation is not directly stated or described in them. In my opinion, it is not a sin.

I think you will be happy to know that the passage in the Bible that was originally thought to prove that masturbation is a sin is now believed to prove that birth control is a sin instead. Whether or not you actually believe any of it is up to you. Do what feels right to you. If it makes you feel guilty then don't do it. Just know that a lot of things that are considered to be wrong are taken from unclear passages from the Bible.

Masturbation being a sin truly depends on how one was raised and what they were taught, so t his could vary from person to person. I personally dont believe that it is a sin, its very a very natural thing for us to do, so much so that animals even do it.

I am Roman Catholic and most perceive masturbation as a sin.It isn't,the passages in the bible are taken way out of context,the one "relating to masturbation" is actually about birth control as a sin.Secondly,it depends on how you were raised and taught as that varies from person to person.Finally,it is YOUR choice,do what YOU think is right,it is YOUR body not anybody else's.Overall,masturbation is a natural and normal thing for all species on this planet for it releases sexual tension that builds up.

I am not sure I would go that far, though I do agree the bible is often ambiguous. One of the problems with interpretation is with the extent to which you should generalise. The bible is full or stories and it has long been assumed the intention was for us to generalise from those stories to find useful guidance for everyday life. Take, for example, the story of the little boy who cried wolf. We would ordindarily generalise that to a maxim that those who frequently lie are not beleived even when they tell the truth, sometimes with dire consequences.

So how, and to what extent should we generalise the story of Onan. I can think of least these as possible, but different, generalisations:

1. All spilling of semen is a sin.
2. Birth control is a sin.
3. Birth control is a sin if its mechanism of action is keep the sperm away from the vagina.
4. When the law places a duty upon you, going through the motions, so as to appear to others as complying, but sabotaging the result is a sin.

Personally, I favour no. 4. If you disagree consider which you think is more likely, that God would make you really horny and then forbid you to do something about it or that the church would use surpression of sexuality as an instrument to control the population. I'd go for the latter.
