Basically I am 15, and I have quite visible blonde sideburns, and I want to get rid of them - I'm too scared to talk to my parents about it.

Do you not shave yet? Because at fifteen you should have already started, theres nothing worse than teens running around with bum fluff on their lip which they refuse to shave because it makes them look more manly which it dosent. So yeah you should talk to your parents but you dont have to make a big deal about it you can even buy your own aim sure they wont mind.

What gives you the right to say that "you should have" done this or "you should have done that"? Nonetheless, if you want to shave, you don't have to talk to your parents about it; you could just buy a razor and shaving foam/cream and shave it yourself. If your parents bring it up then you can just tell them that you wanted to shave and felt awkward asking so you went and bought the stuff yourself. They won't have a problem with it because puberty is something that everyone goes through so your dad will know why you wanted to shave so bad.

Don't ever use other people's razors, even family members. Invest in your own; there are tons of cheap dollar-month clubs &c

I've only ever seen about not using other people's razors because hiv and thing like that. Me and my twin the same razor I'm quite sure we have never had a problem

It would probably be a good idea to start shaving, especially at your age cause that's usually when most guys shave. Your parents should understand, they've been through puberty too.

As another 15-year-old guy, I recently (within the past 6 months) started just shaving my upper lip where my "whiskers" were. I didn't particularly like the look of it, so I nonchalantly mentioned to one of my parents about shaving. We started to talk about the different razors and I ended up getting a Gillette Mach 3 replacable cartridge razor. It worked out well and now I don't even bother talking about it anymore. I understand it can be awkward talking about that kind of stuff. Anyway good luck!
