Hey, so Ive been jerking off and cuming since I was like 12, and now Im 13. I jerk off and cum every day, and its kinda become an addiction, so Ive been jerking off about every other day. But my question is, does jerking off alot slow the affect of puberty? Cause after I first cummed, I suddenly got pubes, got taller, and my dick grew. But after a year, it just stopped. So if I stop jerking off, will I start like going through puperty faster?

it doesn't have an effect on puberty, what probably happened was you just had a growth spurt at the same time you began to cum. it's just a coincidence these two things happened at the same time.by the way, i wouldn't really call jerking off every other day an addiction, most teens do it everyday if not more. hope this helps :)

No. You're probably just having a growth spurt right now.

Being as someone who was recently in a incredibly similar position of yours, I can tell you no. I also masturbate at a frequency of about once per day, and I also attempted to restrict the amount of times I spend doing that matter, but I failed miserably. Restricting my masturbation frequency was mainly due to my fear of masturbation affecting growth during puberty. After doing some online research fueled by my perpetuating fear, I figured that all the talks about masturbation affecting growth were myths created by sexually conservative people who want to discourage young people from fapping on. Seriously, as long as you don't occupy too much time doing it (I'd say 4 times a day is the limit for most people), there is no reason to cut down your masturbation time just for the sake of it. Though I would advise you to reduce masturbation before activities that call for extreme physical or mental energy, as you can be quite drained after the business.

The common factor is testosterone. Testosterone causes the pubertal growth spurt, it causes the glands involved to mature and start producing cum, it causes andogenic hair growth, i.e. public, arm pit, facial etc. and it causes you to become horny such that you feel the need to masturbate.
So, masturbation is not a cause of these others things, it is an effect. Masturbating or not masturbating isn't going to make much of a differnce to testosterone levels and won't affect development. Puberty does seem to go in phases - sometimes change seems quite rapid and other times not much happens.

I'd concur with this. Addiction normally refers to an activity that is harmful but, having tried it, the doer finds it hard to stop. Masturbation isn't harmful and the desire to do it comes, not from having done it previously, but from being horny due to testosterone. The best thing is not to worry but relax and really enjoy it.

Masturbation doesn't have any effect on puberty. No worries.

Yes. Every time you jerk off, your body will dissipate a lot of sexual energy, part of which is used to create the orgasm that you enjoy. So the more you jerk off, the less energy will remain for other body activities of yours, such as growth. Jerking off is something every guy should enjoy, but overdoing it will eventually impede growth. How much is too much is different for different people, and your body will signal to you when you are overdoing it. Having said this, I'm also totally addicted to jerking off. I'd rather sacrifice growth for intense pleasures ;)
