Neighbors

Hi I want to make new friends and get to know the people in my neighborhood better because I've lived here for almost 10 years and I don't really know that many of them. I knew some of them because we went to middle school together but in middle school I was kind of a shut out anyways. Now that I go to a private highschool I will see them even less.

How can I see them more often?

Our neighborhood only has a few "events" but they are for little kids like an easter egg hunt, costume party, etc.

I think just getting outside and goofing around with the kids in the neighborhood will be your best bet to get to know them better. I know sleepovers are more of a girl thing, but if you have a backyard and a tent you could set that up and invite some of the guys in your neighborhood to spend the night in the tent.

You could play some game together. Like call them over for a football match or something. Or maybe you could greet or talk whenever you see them.
To see them more often you should get more friendly with them. If they're all around your age, you'll have probably have a lot of things to bond over.

Hmm, unless they hang out in the streets already, this one is tricky :/. I know most people our age just come back from school and hang around their own house, or with school friends. Is there a youth group nearby? Maybe a sports team or something?

Well there is a lake in our neighborhood so I like to swim there a lot. Sometimes I see people at the beach but that is it.
