I can't think of an answer to that question now that I think about it... Personally, I just see them as attractive and if I know them, then their personality almost definitely makes me attracted to them even more. I just have this attraction to them that I can't ignore XD

I guess it's just orientation and what you prefer, for me when I see a girl and I notice she looks good that's what draws me to her, which makes me want to get to know her, while drawing a sexual attraction.

Love are poetic. It is hard to express how love feel or it won't call love. You know how it feel to have a crush or see someone you like. It feel different than the way you see your friend.

This ^^^. Plus other than pure natural instincts, it's what you learn over time. I think if you meet a ton of really nice, cool flirty redheads (for example) early on in puberty you will likely learn to crush easier on gingers (this would hols true to any hair color or any type of girls - could be goths, tomboys, etc)
