View Full Version : Dentists, what is happening to me?

I'm honestly really pissed at my oral region at this point. I have super sharp canine teeth (sharper than the average person), and they cut into my lip since they are angled (Horrible tooth alignment), so because of that I have 3 open sores on my lips. Which I deal with because that happens a lot.

But now on top of that I have an incredibly painful tongue, the back right of my tongue hurts like hell when I try to eat or when I swallow, the top of my mouth in the back-right also hurts like a bitch. Anyone know what's going on? I pray to god it's not tonsillitis, and no I haven't had my tonsils removed.

Update: Checked the back of my mouth and found a small red bump on the top right of the roof of my mouth.. Never seen anything like it before. My tongue also appears to be very cracked like it's dry (I've tried drinking tons of water already).

Again if anyone could help me with this it would be amazing, the pain has gotten to a point where I have to take 2-3 advil before a meal just so I can eat.

(I don't think you'll find any dentists here, sorry- like the oldest active members are in the 18-21 range, myself included)

It could be? It could also just be a canker sore. Are you having difficulty swallowing/any other symptoms that would suggest tonsil issues?

When I chew the back of my tongue hurts, and when I swallow the top of my mouth hurts.

It could be tonsil related but again, I'm not an expert, idr ever know that much on the subject tbh

Update: I'm fine now, it hurt like a bitch during like the week that it lasted though.

Just for future reference, you can tell you have tonsilitis if the two bumps in the back of your throat (your tonsils, duh) are swollen to the size of like, bigger than grapes, and are white.

Source: I got it like 3 times a year until I had my tonsils out.

How sore is it? Back of the throat sore? Those bumps could be something get it checked out :)
