I cut my hand cleaning up broken glass earlier, I have applied first aid. However I believe I did some damage to my nervous system, the part of it in my hand I mean. My index finger was twitching/spasming earlier, is there anything to keep in mind for treatment?

To have nerve damage, I think the cut would have to be extremely deep. Nonetheless, I could just be a coincidental spasm. Just make sure you disinfect the cut, and if it WAS deep and problems like this happen again, go to the doctor. But since it sounds like the twitching stopped awhile ago, it probably wasn't related.

if it continues to twitch tomorrow I would go to the doctor to get it checked out just in case

How deep was it? If you think you have nerve damage you should go to the doctor.

Your nervous system is everywhere in your body so when you cut your hand with the glass you are cutting through flesh and skin which is connected to the nervous system. Again depending on how deep the glass may have nicked the nerves thus causing the twitching. But the body heals so you will be fine . Any questions just ask
