Best Friends with a Girl

My best friend for a very long time is a girl, and I wouldn't ask for a better best friend. But for this, I get called gay a lot at school, even though I'm straight, and it sometimes really bugs me (being gay is not bad AT ALL, I'm just saying for a straight guy, it can be used wrong) I want them to stop, but I don't want to give up my friendship with her. What should I do/What are your experiences?

The best thing you can do is be confident in your friendship with her, and express that publicly.

Whenever someone talks bad about it, just brush it off and act like you don't care(bc you shouldn't care, but I understand why you do). You've got to send the message to those people that this friendship you have with her is more important to you than these insults they're throwing at you and that you won't just give it up because of them.

Plus, if you act like you don't care and ignore them, they'll probably leave you alone about it.

I should've rephrased the question better. The question should be: I love having my best friend (there may or may not be feelings for her that she doesn't have for me ;)) so not being friends isn't the answer. What can I do to get the people to stop calling me gay?

Same. I get along better with girls than guys, and of course the girls only see me as a friend, but that's another problem lol. Some guys these days are just so idiotic and need to get a grip on life.

The answer to your question is probably fall in love with a girl so you can say you've got a girlfriend, but in my experience the idiots will still call you gay so honestly; fuck them. You don't need these negative people in your life, they're not making you a better person so why should they be in your little cloud of positivity and awesomeness.
