im 6'1 228 lbs and im a lineman, i want to get faster but stay wide at the same time, im starting my freshman year and run my 40 yard dash in 7.7 seconds but i want to get down to 6... any advice

You do realise 1,7 seconds is huge kid?

Like that is maybe 3/4 months work.

You wont notice this but your speed is actually slightly slower than your top speed because your body wants to endure you can keep balance. So if you train and think to yourself 'move my legs slightly faster' this will work the muscles harder and if you keep it up you should be faster

yes im aware XD, theres a few kids on the team clocking at 10 seconds XD ik its slow, and thats why i want to be faster

try olympic lifts they develop explosiveness/speed
