Ever since my third year I've had an hygiene insecurity. (that despite showering I always smell but no one dares to tell me). A chick basically told me I was smelly and urgently needed to shower and made it sound like everyone felt that way. As I'd had NO idea about it I felt really really worried and insecure as I didn't know how to fix it. Thus I decided to try to ignore the problem as I was worried about failing after trying. But now I realize, from your comments, that I NEED to try and thus I'm asking you: how can I fix this insecurity. How can I stop worrying I'm going to fail and just go for it? Thank you all if you can help.

My help would be just shower everyday and you won't have to worry about being smelly. Brush your teeth and eat foods that don't make your breath stink as much but you can stop worrying what people say if you tell yourself "I smell good" :) also spray could help you too

Hmm, positive messages to yourself. I'll try it. :)
Thanks.

There are a couple of things that might contribute to you smelling in the first place but that's a different story.

I'd say that one person saying something can often feel that way, but it's just a trick of your mind. If one person calls someone ugly the other person might feel the rest of their teenage years like everyone thinks they are hideous while it's really just that person.
Basiclly as a young adult/teenager you're still anxious enough to interpertate one person's comment as "EVERYONE thinks I am ALWAYS x" but in reality x is just something that was said once or happened once and your blowing it out of proportion in your mind. ..If that makes any sense I guess :P

Yeah that actually does. Thank you! That really helps.

Talking of insecurity, I can't really give you professional advice but I think that trying to get your mind on other things can lead to less worrying. It would probably be better if you talked to a specialist (ie psychologist) or someone that has tricks in terms of insecurity.

I'll try that. But first I'll try out your guyses suggestions. I like the name & Seneca quote by the way; reminds me of Seto Kaiba (the name) and I'm into Greek and Latin so Seneca is a cool dude in my view
