I agree with whats above, just ask him to 'announce' it so that you have time to prepare and can do with it what you want at that point. Being shy at first is normal, but I think you'll both find your experiences can be made more enjoyable by communicating what you would like from your partner. If your bf usually wears a condom it'll be harder to tell but usually he'll start getting a few drops of pre-cum before he orgasms. His balls should tighten and his head should be vey swollen.
