Girls bikini bottoms getting skimpier?

At neighborhood pools and waterparks I'm noticing a lot of girls who wear 2 piece suits are wearing bottoms that cover less butt. Most of the time I'm okay with that! They're not thong bottoms, but they are getting closer than even what I saw last summer.

Not all girls but a lot don't seem to have any issue with their butt showing a little or a lot! Yet us guys (at least me) feel pressured to wear a swimsuit that covers nearly navel to ankle (I'm exaggerating but you get the point).

What are you seeing this summer? What do you think about the "cheeky" trend?

I honestly don't care about what women wear to a pool/water park. It's not like they're naked. I wear speedos that barely cover up my buttcheeks, I don't see people complaining.

on the right girl I am fine with that XD. seriously though, I have not noticed a major difference. I been thinking about wearing a Speedo sometime. I am not bashful about my body and am considering doing it just for the heck of it. it is very interesting how very conservative guys swimsuits are, as a whole, are in the United States

There's a difference between showing one's knees and showing hints of parts you should only see during sex. Honestly I think fashion is going WAY too far in the whole 'flashing' aspect. I mean Speedoes feel provocative to me and I'm a guy. I don't think I could handle skimpier bikini bottoms at all. It's just a bit TOO much you know.

My parents (and especially my Dad) nearly have aneurisms when they see my bikinis but, like it was well stated earlier, every generation has a problem with what girls in the next generation wear. It's kinda' weird actually because it took a while before my Dad was comfortable with me wearing a thong yet he has no problem if I want to skinny dip or tan topless or nude. Mom just sorta' gave up and I was even able to talk her into buying a thong. My Dad loves her in it so it's kinda' tough for him to complain about mine. Ha Ha

I like them with less material because less coverage means a better tan. My brother is on our High School swim team and hates that he has to wear a speedo but I love going to his swim meets and seeing all those cute guys in their little speedos :)

Has your brother been on swim teams long? I did swim team before and have friends that have been doing it a long time. I love going to his meets and even practices because you see guys that are confident wearing speedos, they've gotten over the whole modesty thing. I won't parade around in a speedo but I will wear one at the beach to get tan or even swimming. It's easy to tell if the crowd I'm with would be uncomfortable and then I'll wear my trunks over my speedo. It bugs me to hear guys say they won't wear speedos when they would probably look good in them. Get over your modesty, you'll be happier.

In front of parents its not the best idea, been there, done that. It happened as an accident, the parents of my ex BF came home early when we were swimming in his pool while wearing a pretty small g-string. Its humiliating hehe

I don't think theyve gotten smaller in the last couple years i mean how much smaller can they be than thongs or g's? I think maybe its that youre noticing them or notice them on girls more than you did before.
I have some skimpy ones that i pretty much only wear at home or certain friends houses lol but depends who is over at home or there house. I like the attention but also don't really want my whole bum on display for some people to. But then sometimes i don't care so sorta depends on my mood i guess.

Among our clique we often discussed the "issue" of the friends who went skinny dipping at a lake this summer. There were a lot pros and cons about this topic.

I once said that it actually makes no difference whether you go to our local public pool or, like our friends, skinny dipping at this lake.

I find this to be very true, but it is becoming a bit of a problem for those of us who don't like showing as much skin. I found it VERY difficult to find a bathing suit this summer that didn't show everything, or have everything hanging out - and if I did find one, it was ridiculously expensive. I think they should at least consider that not all females prefer to dress that way.

I'm all about bikinis but I agree that they are getting smaller. My bikini bottoms are kind of the size of Hipster panties and the top part covers basically covers the whole of my boob. I don't see what's so comfortable about having your boobs almost fall out of the top and your butt gobbling up the bottom

Last summer I went to a freinds house and her neighbor was having a swimming party she and I looked over the fence for some reason idk we were displeased with what we saw there were teenagers waring bathing suites that the top of was almost not there and the bottoms covered the butt, but bairly their crotch.
