Is shaving your pubic hair particularly important? I've never done it, but I feel like I should since it's grown a lot. And honestly, nor do I even really know how to go about it. :S

It's not important, it's just a matter of preference. Some people like it he natural look, some like it completely shaved. Personally I trim mine and keep them short as I don't like the bushy look and find that shaving them completely itches like crazy for a while. As for how you go about doing it, you can shave using a razor and shaving cream, but if you've got a lot of hair if either cut most of it off with a pair of scissors or use an electric clippers before using a razor.

Most people shave it so they feel more comfortable as it can become itchy or get trapped behind their foreskin. Also for a sexual partner as a big bush isn't pleasant for them:)

Some do dome don't its all about how you feel about it if its itchy the shave it if you like it then leave it alone

I wouldn't say it is important to do so, it is all personal preference. I personally trim, because I like a clean look, and shaving causes too much irritation.

I let it grow naturally and every once in awhile trim it

Like people before me have said it's personal preference. I shave mine occasionally but I always regret it afterwards.

shaving and trimming is a personal preference, its not something that one NEEDS to do or because its the current trend. If you arent sure how to go about it, then my suggestion would be for you to trim it if you feel its getting out of hand and see how you like that.

It's completely up to you, honestly I don't think there's much of a reason to do it other than comfort. People should not care how you look down there.

I tried it twice and I hate it because of its look and the feeling.
Trimmed to 3mm is my favorite hairdo down there :)

check out the Puberty for all section. Today someone posted a study on this very subject. Personally I trim. I think shaving either makes me like a little boy or a porn star or both lol. And I don't want to be either really.

I only shave sometimes, I don't see the need for myself to shave because no one else sees it, if I'm going out I may shave it, I would usually shave it all off, I went through I stage where I was shaving it every week because it grows quite quick but I've started to leave it not, I quite like the feel of the hair sometimes, it's nice to have a little play with the hair, also it tickles a bit when it starts to grow back and if irritates me x

Well you don't need too it's more about preference like me I let it grow and then trim it every now and then some poeple shave cause they don't like the hair or some other reason and some just let it grow and don't Ben trim it

It all depends on how you feel down there. I sometimes shave because I like it nice and smooth but sometimes Ill grow it out because I don't want to deal with the work it takes to shave, etc. But no, its all personal preference!

There is no health reason to either shave or trim your public hair.

You can obviously do either for cosmetic reasons. I do wonder if this is one of these case like girls getting dressed up to go shopping where you ask "For whom are you dressing up?" expecting maybe they want to attract boys and they say "For myself, I feel good that way". Really, how many other people are going to see your pubes and, of those who do, how many are going to care what they look like?

Well there isn't really an "average" size but when I was 14 I was probably around between 4-4.5 inches hard and like maybe 2.5 inches soft. As you can tell I'm a Shower more then a Grower and I still am today but anyways don't be extremely surprised if you find more bigger more smaller everyone is different my old friend Michael who is the same age as me is 9 inches now and when we started puberty in 8th grade he told him he started out 6 inches and I was like [emoji38] wow didn't think that when we were that young to be that big that's why I know now that everyone is always different from yourself.
